EXTERNALLY FOCUSED
We believe that we are called to demonstrate the love of God not only individually, but also corporately. This is why we emphasize service in our C3 groups. Did you know in 2007, and so far in 2008 Union (mostly via C3 groups) have
- sponsored a clothing drive to benefit World Relief
- worked on a Habitat for Humanity home
- settled 4 refugee families
- served gourmet meals to homeless teens and adults making the transition out of homelessness
- sent a container full of necessary supplies to an orphanage and medical clinic in Zambia and raised money for them
- made trips to serve in Zambia and Kenya
- built a house in Mexico
- assembled Christmas care packages for the Downtown Emergency Service Center
- cleaned up 2 Seattle parks
- gardened at an urban organic farm providing food for low-income families
- provided consistent spiritual care for elderly adults
- cleaned and organized a family crisis care center
- and did a bowl-a-thon to benefit a family services organization

INTERNALLY ALIVE
C3 groups provide an opportunity for friendships to grow. Through friendship we look out for one another through the ups and downs of everyday life and welcome people to join us who might not otherwise feel at home in a church.
|
ETERNALLY CONNECTED
In C3 groups we spend time praying together, studying scripture and discussing issues of faith. This is done in such a way that those not accustomed to these practices can still feel comfortable.
